Tuesday, I experienced my first true London rain. And let me tell you, it POURED all day long! To celebrate the first day of fall weather, we decided to turn our room into a dungeon, make a couch out of mattresses and watch a movie. It was one of my favorite days! I've always been such a homebody and ever since I've been here we've just being going, going, going all the time. Don't get me wrong, I've loved every second of my adventures, but it was nice just to have a day to relax and catch up on homework. Later that night we went for a walk, it was a little cold but I just love the rain, especially here in London. When it rains, it pours!!

The Theatre, The Theatre, What Happened to the Theatre
Well, it's been another great week in London! Monday was a day full of classes :) gotta love those! It actually wasn't too bad though because after dinner we all got to go see "As You Like It" at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. On the way there, I was able to see St. Paul's for the first time since I've been here! Wow, that is such an amazing building! It was the perfect night too, with the most beautiful sunset I've seen for a long time. I also got to walk across Millenium Bridge, which yes, is the bridge the death eaters attack in Harry Potter, so that was cool. Anyway, after reading "As You Like It" for my English 382 class, it was so fun to actually SEE it. I'm definitely a visual learner, so being able to watch the actors and be involved in the performance made the play so much more enjoyable for me. It was also really fun to go to the Globe since it's a theatre I've been hearing about for such a long time! I don't have much experience with Shakespeare, but I thought it was performed so well! It was much more of a comedy than I was expecting and I really did enjoy it!

Wednesday was another one of my favorite days since I've been here. I know I say that a lot, but I honestly think it just gets better everyday! I woke up and went for a run, which always gets the day off to a good start. After a good spin around Hyde Park, a group of us went and bought tickets for Mamma Mia! and then went on a tour of Buckingham Palace. PS-on our way there, we saw a place where they filmed "Parent Trap," so of course we took a picture :) Anyway, we got there in time for the end of the changing of the guards, so that was cool and it was packed! I've always wanted to be president just so I could ride in Air Force One but now I'm considering trying out to be Queen, I wouldn't mind living in the palace for a little while, it's so grand!

Later that night we went and saw Mamma Mia! Definitely worth it! It was such a fun play and I'm glad it was my first London West End experience!
